Korn “Here to Slay” Your Taste Buds with Their Hot Sauce
Not content to only get into the pet supplies business, nu-metal legends Korn are looking to spice things up in your life by releasing their own hot sauce thanks to a collaboration with Heatonist.
The company, most famous for providing many of the sauces found on the insanely popular YouTube series Hot Ones, collaborated with the boys from Bakersfield to create a hot sauce that while not particularly destructive, can still provide a little kick.
“When the team from Korn reached out to us about creating a hot sauce, we may have freaked out,” they state. “You know members Jonathan Davis, James Shaffer, Brian Welch and Ray Luzier as rock legends, but did you know they also have excellent taste buds? We partnered the band to create a hot sauce based on their Bakersfield, California roots.
“Here to Slay honors the abundance of produce grown in the Central Valley with the charred-sweet flavor of roasted corn and vibrant jalapeño and serrano peppers. Smoky chipotles in adobo and cumin add earthy notes that echo the vistas and canyons outside the city. Crafted by our friends at Heartbeat Hot Sauce, this sauce is a must-have for tacos, grilled shrimp, burgers, burritos and more.”
Each bottle uses fresh ingredients like onions, corn, jalapenos, pineapple, serrano peppers, chipotles, garlic, lime juice, and other spices. Of particular note is the omission of gut bombs like the insanely hot carolina reapers or ghost peppers, so that’s why this sauce is rated a 2.5 out of 10 on Heatonist’s spiciness scale. You can grab yourself a bottle for $12 today.
So whether you’re a habanero homie or a cayenne chump, you should be able to handle the heat that Korn’s slingin’.
