Babymetal Unleash a “Divine Attack” as Their First Single from The Other One

Newly reactivated Japanese kawaii metal band Babymetal unveiled the first single “Divine Attack – Shingeki -” off their forthcoming concept album The Other One.

Complete with an official visualizer to accompany the single, “Divine Attack – Shingeki -” is a pretty straightforward metal track without any of the super cutesy choruses that you might expect from their previous work. In all actuality, this new track has an excellent vocal part that soars over the kind of traditional metal instrumentals you’d expect. If you’ve ever been a detractor of the band, this may be your chance to get caught up in the hype. You may not understand the words, but that shouldn’t stop you from enjoying a cool new track.

As per the album’s conceptual nature, this song reflects one of 10 parallel worlds that the band “discovered” in a place called “the Metalverse.” What this means for The Other One is that each song will have its own unique style and sound.

If that sounds interesting to you, then you may want to pay a little more attention to Babymetal. The Other One is expected to come out on March 23, 2023.
