Born of Osiris Drop Off Tour with In Flames
In an unexpected turn of events, Born of Osiris announced on their Facebook page that they will be dropping off their upcoming tour with In Flames, Darkest Hour, and Hammerhedd that was supposed to kick off next month.
According to the post, the band’s guitarist Lee McKinney had suffered a medical emergency earlier this year that “left him in a coma for 27 days and hospitalized for six weeks.” Though the band says his outlook is good moving forward, they’ll be unable to perform for the upcoming slate of dates.
As some of you may have heard, Lee recently had an unfortunate medical situation that left him in a coma for 27 days and hospitalized for six weeks. He is home now and expected to make a full recovery. Unfortunately we will have to cancel our tour dates with In Flames in October, and our friends in Upon A Burning Body will be taking our place on the tour. We are hoping for a speedy and healthy recovery for Lee, and we appreciate all of our friends and fans that have reached out.
We wish for In Flames, Upon a Burning Body, Darkest Hour, and Hammerhedd to have an amazing tour! Be sure to attend one of their shows if you are able to. We are sad that we will have to miss it.
Even though they won’t be playing live, the band said they’ll be using this time away from the road to “work on a new album.” The band expects they’ll be able to keep their previous commitment to perform at Hell and Heaven Fest in Mexico on December 4 and said they’re planning a tour for 2023.
