After parting ways with longtime bassist David Ellefson, the thrash trailblazers soldiered on, recruiting Testament bassist Steve DiGiorgio in the studio and former ‘Deth bassist James LoMenzo as a full-time member again. The Sick, the Dying… and the Dead! is a certified thrash ripper that delivers in every area you’d expect Megadeth to deliver in. Dave Mustaine said he’s been feeling good in recent interviews and it shows on Megadeth’s sixteenth album.
Blind Guardian
The God Machine (Nuclear Blast)
Power metal gods Blind Guardian are back. The God Machine is their most streamlined album in recent memory, combining an all-killer no-filler approach with the band’s tendency for epics.
The Callous Daoboys

Multifaceted metalcore goons The Callous Daoboys prove why they’re the next big thing on Celebrity Therapist. Combining varying genres with ease and technicality that recalls acts like The Chariot and The Dillinger Escape Plan with a far more out-there approach. This is a name you’ll be hearing for a long time.
The Hu
Rumble of Thunder (Better Noise Music)
Mongolian crew The Hu are currently on tour with Five Finger Death Punch and Megadeth, which is a hell of a way to celebrate the release of your new album. Using throat singing and traditional Mongolian instruments alongside the standard metal setup, The Hu are as musically striking as they are visually.
Vermin Womb
Retaliation (Closed Casket Activities)
On their first album since reforming, Denver deathgrind trio Vermin Womb are as violently aggressive as ever. Retaliation is a shot of pure, unfiltered rage from the mind of Primitive Man founder Ethan McCarthy. With song titles like “Rot in Hell,” “Denvoid” and “Art District Without Artists,” Vermin Womb make their feelings known. Good luck finding another album this angry.
