Dying Fetus Share Their “Compulsion For Cruelty” With Their New Single and Video

Death metal mainstays Dying Fetus have been going at this music thing for a while now — more than 30 years, in fact — but they don’t sound like they’re slowing down any time soon. At least that’s the impression one can get when listening to “Compulsion For Cruelty,” the band’s newest track released today.

Back in January, Dying Fetus revealed they were ripping it up in the studio, working on a new album. While there’s no official release date, no album title, or any indication that “Compulsion For Cruelty” will be on it, this alleged new album would be their first full studio release since 2017’s Wrong One to Fuck With.

What we do know about this new slab of Dying Fetus brutality is that it fucking kills. Even though the video below shows people in a live setting, I can’t imagine many people made it out of there alive if the band was actually playing this track. It almost feels like it should come with a waiver before hitting play.

And that’s a pretty exciting proposition for fans of absolutely fucking brutal music everywhere.

Dying Fetus are currently on the road as we speak. From now until September 21, the band will be playing along the east coast. Some dates will be supported by Knocked Loose, Terror, and Omerta, while other dates will see just Dying Fetus take the stage.
