Watch: Lorna Shore Crush Sold-Out Lollapalooza Performance
There was a surprise stand-out performance at Lollapalooza last night. New Jersey deathcore unit Lorna Shore headlined the BMI Stage at the festival last night to an electric crowd, riding high on the momentum from their latest single, “Cursed to Die,” which dropped on Thursday.
Video taken by attendees and posted to Twitter shows a large crowd for the band. Lorna Shore trended on the social media platform that same night, no tiny achievement for a band playing the genre of music that Lorna Shore does.
The opening night of Lollapalooza 2022 was headlined by Metallica, which accounts for two thirds of the heavy bands on Lollapalooza this year. Turnstile is also scheduled to perform on Saturday, July 30.
Lorna Shore’s fourth album, Pain Remains, is slated for an October release via Century Media. Prior to “Cursed to Die,” Lorna Shore revealed themselves as one of the year’s must-watch bands with Pain Remains‘ first two singles, “Sun//Eater” and “Into the Earth.”
Now that they’ve demolished a major American festival, Lorna Shore heads to Europe for an extensive tour that includes co-headliners with Tesseract, appearances at many of the major festivals and almost a month with Parkway Drive.
