Watch: Here’s Kevin Bacon Dancing In an Immolation Shirt

You’d be surprised who’s a metalhead. We like to think of the genre as inky and impenetrable to the outside world, but c’mon, these days metal labels are promoting to everyone, and the scene reaches far and wide. As such, there are more and more people who you wouldn’t consider metalheads getting into metal every day, including many mainstream celebrities. Case in point, here’s actor Kevin Bacon doing a bit of choreography from Footloose — while wearing an Immolation shirt.

Yup, according to this video on his Twitter, Bacon reps the kings of brutal Yonkers death metal. The movie star does a little bit of dancing with his wife, actress Kyra Sedgwick (best known for her work on TV show The Closer), who’s a good sport about the whole thing, even if she herself is not wearing a rad-ass death metal shirt.

As The PRP points out, Kevin probably stole this shirt from his son, Travis Bacon, who’s a member of both black metallers Black Anvil and industrial metal crew CONTRACULT collective. So maybe Bacon has heard a little bit of Immolation, and actually digs on them! More likely, though, he needed a T-shirt, and he was in the laundry room and was like, What’s this? Ah, Travis, must’ve left it here. Yeah, whatever, this works. Still, not a bad band to rep, we’ll give him that!

Anyway, watch the video below, and hope that Kevin can bring some sense to the elders of that town that outlawed brutal death metal after that car full of kids died in a crash while leaving the brutal death metal show. Does that sound ridiculous? Well, have you seen Footloose?
