Tommy Lee Played His First Full Set of Mötley Crüe’s Reunion Tour Last Night
Right now, Mötley Crüe‘s big reunion tour, the Stadium Tour with Def Leppard, Poison, and Joan Jett, is well underway. But thus far, due to his broken ribs, Crüe drummer Tommy Lee has had to duck out a few songs into the set. Now, however, Tommy appears to be on the mend, as the drummer played his first full set of the tour last night in Charlotte.
As reported by Loudwire, Tommy managed to grind out an entire set behind the kit with his band. Given that this is only the seventh date of a massive tour, it’s pretty impressive that Tommy is able to bring his A-game, or at least sit through the entire game, this few shows in. Kudos, dude.
As for how Tommy broke his ribs, the drummers wife Brittany Furlani recently revealed the story — and, well, it was kind of boring:
“So, the day that we were leaving Nashville, our driver came and we had all this luggage and he wasn’t helping us; he just stayed in the car. And so Tommy was trying to carry all of our luggage for us. And he fell down these crazy stairs and broke — broke — four ribs. Not fractured, not bruised — broke.
“And it was crazy, ’cause I came out and he couldn’t breathe. It was really scary. “
