blink-182’s Travis Barker Rushed to Hospital, Daughter Asks for Fans’ Prayers
Scary news for the punk and rock communities, as blink-182 drummer Travis Barker was hospitalized yesterday for undisclosed reasons.
According to Deadline, Barker, accompanied by wife Kourtney Kardashian, arrived at West Hills Hospital Tuesday morning, and soon thereafter was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center via an ambulance. Kardashian followed the ambulance to the medical center.
Many have noted that Barker tweeted, “God save me” yesterday as well which feels cryptic and loaded. That said, commenters have also remarked that “God Save Me” is a song by Machine Gun Kelly on which Barker performed and produced, so it might just be that he’s referencing his work with the rapper-turned-pop-punk artist. Deadline, meanwhile, mentions that the song is about drug addiction and mental health issues, which might offer insight into what’s happening with Barker.
Meanwhile, Page Six reports that Barker’s daughter Alabama posted the image below on her Tiktok, which features her holding Travis’ hand in the hospital. The image has the caption, “Please say a prayer.” The image has since been deleted, but fans managed to grab a screenshot, that you can check out below.
In any event, we wish Travis a speedy recovery, whatever his ailment may be.
