Watch: Jinjer Play Their First Show Since the Invasion of Ukraine
2022 has been one hell of a year for Ukrainian rock act Jinjer. Following Vladimir Putin’s invasion of their homeland, the band were forced to cancel all live dates, including a massive U.S. run with Slipknot, while they helped their families and countrymen. But now, the band are back on the road as official cultural ambassadors of Ukraine, and you can watch footage of their first show out below, at the Greenfield Festival in Interlaken, Switzerland, below.
According to the band, their upcoming European trek was officially approved by their national cultural ministry:
“We are very honored to announce that together with the help of the Ukrainian Ministry Of Culture, that we have successfully been granted permission to travel abroad as ambassadors of our country to raise funds and awareness about the war raging back home. This is a huge honor for us as a band and as citizens. We will do our part to make sure that this war stops as soon as possible!
“Come support, dance and scream your hearts out for Ukraine!”
