SVSPVRP, Featuring Dallas Coyle (ex-God Forbid), Drops Two More New Songs
Last month we clued you all in to the emergence of SVSPVRP (pronounced “sus-purp”), a new project led by former God Forbid guitarist Dallas Coyle (brother of current Bad Wolves guitarist and former God Forbid bandmate Doc Coyle). Its first single, “Not Right Now,” was refreshing in both its nods back to God Forbid and its entirely new direction, and it was pulling some impressive numbers on streaming platforms.
Now Coyle is back with two more SVSPVRP songs, “O.G.” and “The Master Key.” And, once again, color me impressed: this project has an incredibly cohesive but entirely non-derivative sound that’s equal parts God Forbid (heavy riffs, those distinct vocal harmonies) and hip hop, with rapping, vocoder vocals and electronic production elements. And the songs stick, too.
I said it last time and I’ll say it again: it is AWESOME to hear Dallas making music again. And even more awesome that the music is this good!
Give both a spin below. Visit SVSPVRP’s Soundcloud for more info.
