Boris Post New Song and Video About Hiroshima, “Beyond Good And Evil”
Prolific Japanese genre-shifters Boris have released a new single and video from their forthcoming album.
The new track, “Beyond Good and Evil,” is about the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima, vocalist Wata’s hometown, by the United States on August 6, 1945, leading to the end of World War II.
Wata comments:
“There is a vast magnitude in a huge mushroom cloud and in decaying ruins. We feel both the sadness and beauty of these things at the same time; that is who we are. This video was made from the perspective of a mushroom cloud. The album W focuses on Wata’s vocals – and she is from Hiroshima.”
Boris’s new album, W, comes out on January 21; pre-order here.
