Foo Fighters Horror Comedy Studio 666: Trailer Released
The Foo Fighters have released an official trailer for Studio 666, their upcoming comedic horror movie about — you guessed it — a haunted recording studio.
It looks pretty goddamn entertaining. I don’t think that’s a huge shock given the band’s long history of making droll music videos. Still. Sustaining an actual narrative for ninety minutes is a whole other challenge. And we obviously won’t know if they pulled it off or not ’til the movie comes out. But I think we’ve all seen trailers for similar projects where we knew the movie wasn’t gonna be good, and this ain’t that. Which is something, right?
Watch the trailer below.
Studio 666 was directed by BJ McDonnell (Hatchet III) and written by Jeff Buhler (the 2019 version of Pet Sematary) and Rebecca Hughes. In addition to the band, the cast includes Will Forte (MacGruber), Whitney Cummings (The Female Brain), Jeff Garlin (Curb Your Enthusiasm), and Jenna Ortega (the new Scream). It’s out February 25.
