Slash: “There’s New Guns Material Coming Out as We Speak”
Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash has indicated that the band is actively working on new music.
Speaking to Classic Rock, Slash said that fans can expect to hear from the group sooner rather than later:
“There’s new Guns material coming out as we speak, and we’ll probably keep putting it out until the entire record’s worth of stuff is done and then put it out solid. It’s cool. I’m enjoying working on the stuff and having a good time doing it.”
Back in October, Slash said that the band had yet to begin writing new material, focusing instead on finishing up older songs. It’s not clear whether the above refers to those same older songs or brand new material, but here’s what he told Audacy Check In:
“As far as new Guns is concerned, we haven’t even gotten to that point of really in earnest sitting down and writing. We’ve been doing a lot of material that’s been sort of sitting around for a while. So that will be a whole focused endeavor unto itself.”
Two of those tracks, “Absurd” and “Hard Skool,” holdovers from the Chinese Democracy era, were released in July and September.
