Type O Negative Pay Tribute to Peter Steele for Frontman’s 60th Birthday
Type O Negative have shared a tribute to late frontman Peter Steele for what would have been the bassist/vocalist’s sixtieth birthday.
Steele died in 2010, at the age of 48.
Writing on social media on Tuesday, January 4 — when Steele would have turned sixty — the band said:
“We miss our friend and brother every day. Today would have been his 60th birthday and we celebrate him. While it may be true that Everything Dies we still wish it wasn’t yet with you.”
You can view the tribute below.
The year following Steele’s passing, MetalSucks published a massive two-part examination of his life, which included interviews with family, friends, and bandmates. You can read part 1 here and part 2 here.
