System of a Down and Korn Announce Two More Shows
System of a Down, Korn and Russian Circles have added a pair of shows in San Diego and Phoenix to complement the two they already had planned in Los Angeles in early February.
The two Los Angeles shows were originally scheduled for October but were postponed when System frontman Serj Tankian contracted Covid-19 during the five-show run (the performances in Las Vegas, Fresno and Oakland went off as planned). Tankian was reportedly “doing well” days after the postponement, and credited the vaccine for his relatively mild symptoms.
Faith No More had initially been set as the direct support act, but were replaced by Korn when Faith No More pulled out due to frontman Mike Patton’s mental health struggles.
Russian Circles had tens of thousands of dollars worth of gear stolen from their trailer after the show in Fresno. But an outpouring of support from fans generated $60,000 to help them get back on their feet.
