Limp Bizkit’s Wes Borland Releases New Big Dumb Face Album Christmas in the Cave of Dagoth
Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland promised that he was gonna release a new Big Dumb Face album called Christmas in the Cave of Dagoth before Christmas, and guess what? He did! It’s out now. You can listen to it below.
Like pretty much all of Borland’s work outside of Limp Bizkit, Dagoth generally serves as a testament to the fact that the guitarist is too talented for the band that made him famous. It’s always interesting and frequently good. I don’t love all of it, but I certainly respect it.
The big question, of course, is “How is that song about Leslie Bibb?” — and I’m pleased as pie to report that it’s actually an album highlight. Unfortunately, it’s very hard to make out what Borland is saying during the song, and the lyrics are not yet available online. But it’s catchy and it’s heavy and it’s weird and the lyrics you can make out confirm that titular reference to Ms. Bibb is not just some random thing (sample: “She’s an actress/ So skilled with the roles”). I sincerely hope the track somehow makes its way to her. I’m sure Mr. Borland is dying to know what she thinks.
Limp Bizkit released a new album, Still Sucks, on Halloween. Sales were not great.
