Limp Bizkit’s Wes Borland Unveils Album Art and Tracklist for New Big Dumb Face Album
On Halloween, Limp Bizkit released a new album, Still Sucks, with virtually no anticipatory promotion. That didn’t seem to work out too well for them sales-wise. Still, I guess the band’s guitarist, Wes Borland, had fun taking that distribution approach, ’cause his Big Dumb Face project is expected to release a new album “before Christmas,” according to The PRP. Since “maximum underexposure” seems to be the name of the game here, I’m gonna place my bet on Christmas Eve, but that’s just a guess.
The holiday-themed album, whenever it comes out, will be called Christmas in the Cave of Dagoth. The title may or may not be a reference to The Elder Scrolls; I’m not cool enough to know for sure or I’m too cool to know for sure, depending on your perspective.
Here’s the tracklist:
- “Your Grandma Got You Khaki Slacks”
- “Avoiding the Cyclops”
- “Some People Say”
- “Christmas in the Cave of Dagoth”
- “Thundertusk”
- “This Holiday Season”
- “The Possession of Leslie Bibb”
- “It’s Christmas”
- “Lost in a Forest of Christmas Trees”
- “El Greco’s Twisted Christmas”
- “My Christmas Heart”
- “The Necrotic Feast”
The song I’m most curious about, full stop, is “The Possession of Leslie Bibb.” Mostly because I think Leslie Bibb is great, and I don’t think she’s ever been in any possession movies, and I’m just curious to hear what Borland has on his mind here.
Speaking of Ms. Bibb, she also appears on the cover art (alongside Santa Claus, the Nutcracker, Borland himself, and what appears to be Darth Maul in medieval armor?), which you can view below.
Big Dumb Face’s last album, Where is Duke Lion? He’s Dead, was released in 2017.
