So Hideous Post 11-Minute New Song “Motorik Visage” via Drum Playthrough Video
Let us review the facts so far with regards to the new album by So Hideous, None But a Pure Heart Can Sing:
- Its first single, “The Emerald Pearl,” absolutely ruled
- Its second single, “Souvenir Echo,” also completely ruled
- MS co-founder Axl Rosenberg named it amongst his top albums of 2021 (#4, to be exact!)
In case you’re still somehow not convinced, the band has just released a new song called “Motorik Visage” via a drum playthrough from the band’s skinsman, Michael Kadnar. While the focus on the drums means you aren’t hearing EVERYTHING there is to hear — just be patient, you will two days from now — I love this method of releasing a new single precisely because it puts the spotlight on an area of musicianship many listeners might not focus on otherwise. And hot damn, Kadnar delivers a positively mesmerizing performance, giving me a newfound appreciation for his performance on this song (and, by extension, the coming album).
The playthrough was filmed at Backroom Studios in Rockaway, NJ, and was filmed by Sean Ageman and Washed Up Media.
Watch it below. None But a Pure Heart comes out December 3 — that’s this coming Friday — on Silent Pendulum Records. Pre-order it here.
