Wild Thing Expands and Rebrands As Wild Thing Music Group
Press release:
In the lead up to Wild Thing’s 10th anniversary in 2022, Wild Thing Presents / Wild Thing Records have today announced rebranding as Wild Thing Music Group.
The changes announced today see Wild Thing’s structure shift to a four-pillar model under the one banner; encompassing Management, Label – Wild Thing Records, Merchandise – Wild Thing Music Store, and Touring – Wild Thing Presents, which also includes their strategic partnership with Destroy All Lines.
Wild Thing Records has signed new distribution partnership deals with AISA / The Orchard (Digital & Physical – North America), which coincides with direct deals with Membran (Physical – Europe) and Plastic Head (Physical – UK), along with the existing relationship with Rocket (Physical – Australia).
The company is led by founding director Eli Chamravi, and newly appointed general manager, Daniel Chamravi, who brings his vast international business experience to the group. Eli explains:
“It’s been an amazing journey so far. On the eve of our 10th anniversary, I’m proud to announce the launch of Wild Thing Music Group. I’m excited to usher in our new era, incorporating divisions in Management, Label, Merchandise, and Touring. Our new international distribution partners for Wild Thing Records will take our label to new horizons. I’m also thrilled to announce the signings of Future Static, whom are one to watch for the future. With our extensive networks, both in Australia and globally, this new company setup will cement Wild Thing as a mainstay of the international music industry, whilst ensuring the development and enrichment of our artists’ careers remains at the heart of the Wild Thing family.”
Management is a core tenet of Wild Thing Music Group, currently representing an exciting mix of established and breaking artists. Brisbane’s Caligula’s Horse, a leading light in contemporary progressive metal worldwide, celebrated their highest international chart positions yet with Rise Radiant (2020), highlighted by #23 Australia ARIA Album. Melbourne instrumental act The Omnific’s debut album Escapades (2021, Wild Thing Records) reached #3 on Australia’s AIR Independent Albums chart, with the young band clocking in over 6 million Spotify streams and 3 million YouTube views to date. UK alt-prog-pop rock act Exploring Birdsong, led by breathtaking singer Lynsey Ward, and newly signed Melbourne alternative heavy act Future Static, with the fresh, powerful voice of new front woman Amariah Cook, round out the management roster.
Founded in 2018, Wild Thing Records is an Australian independent record label, passionate about progressive and alternative music in the rock and metal sphere. The Wild Thing Records webstore will be rebranded as Wild Thing Music Store. Since its inception in 2018, the store has built an expertly curated selection of progressive and alternative rock / metal records and merchandise, including new releases, rarities, and cult classics, from Australia and worldwide. The existing Wild Thing Music Store – based in Melbourne, Australia – is ARIA accredited, and offers merchandise and fulfilment services. New Wild Thing Music Store’s will be launching in USA and Europe in the near future, in partnership with AISA / AISAmusic.
Since 2012, touring company Wild Thing Presents has championed the Australian progressive rock and metal scene, building the national careers of now internationally recognized Australian artists such Ne Obliviscaris, Caligula’s Horse, Voyager, Circles, and many others. Wild Thing Presents is also a proud host of Australia’s principal progressive music festival PROGFEST. Wild Thing Presents has promoted several notable Australian & New Zealand tours for international acts including Leprous, Haken, The Contortionist, The Ocean, Monuments, Skyharbor, Balkan Beat Box, and many more. Through its company affiliation with Destroy All Lines, one of Australia’s largest and most trusted independent touring companies and event promoters, Wild Thing Presents will continue its strong history of touring prominent international and national artists in Australia and New Zealand in the era of Wild Thing Music Group.
