Howard Jones and Jared Dines’ Sion: Full Album Coming This Month!
Sion, the new project from Howard Jones (Light the Torch, ex-Killswitch Engage) and YouTuber Jared Dines, is about as highly anticipated by fans as I can recall any so-called “supergroup” being in recent years. Ultimately I gather it was the group’s 2020 promise that their music would sound like Jones-era Killswitch that tickled the nostalgia pickle for metal fans of a certain age.
Sion delighted those metalcore fans with a single called “The Blade” back in March, and now they’re teasing the imminent arrival of more new music: posting on social media, the band said today that the first of three videos will arrive on November 12 with a full, 12-track album shortly after on November 26.
Today’s post arrived with a 25-second video featuring a snippet of a new song and what we can presume is the video for that song. But otherwise, the band kept it brief for now, explaining:
“New music video coming Nov.12th!! Full album to be released Nov. 26th on all streaming platforms. After nearly 2 years in the making, being entirely independently funded and produced, we can now officially say that Sion will be releasing our debut album across all streaming platforms… LETS GOOO!!!!
“12 songs, and 3 more music videos coming soon!”
You can watch that new clip below, as well as get reacquainted with “The Blade.” You’ll hear more on November 12 as soon as we do, naturally.
