Slipknot Launch Website Featuring Samples of New Music

Is new Slipknot music actually on the cusp of being released?

It would seem that way! The band has just launched a new website, thechapeltownrag.com, which, as of this writing, includes six NFT-like graphics, each of which includes a brief sample of a previously-unreleased new Slipknot song. The site also promises that three additional samples/graphics will be released, presumably in the coming days.

According to The PRP, Maggots became aware of the site via graphics and links found on knotfest.com.

Given that the band’s Knotfest Los Angeles is set to take place this Friday, November 5… that various members of the band have been teasing new music since at least last fall… and that frontman Corey Taylor has promised some “cool surprises” for Knotfest L.A. AND said last month that the band could release new music this month, and… well… it doesn’t seem that far-fetched that the band might debut a new single soon. Hopefully that single precedes a new record.

Obviously we will let you know more as soon as there’s more to know. In the meantime, you can check out the graphics/samples here.

Can’t make it to Knotfest L.A.? Fret not! The band will livestream their entire headlining set, as well as “select appearances” from other acts on the bill, including Killswitch Engage, Code Orange, Fever 333, Cherry Bombs (featuring Corey Taylor’s wife, Alicia Dove), and Vended (featuring the sons of Corey Taylor and Shawn “Clown” Crahan). Tickets for the livestream are available here for a base price of $15; there are also more expensive packages with various goodies and add-ons, including a hoodie with secret artwork that won’t be unveiled until the day of the show.
