This Halloween Light Show Set to Avenged Sevenfold’s “Nightmare” is Sick
Halloween is a lovely holiday adored by children and adults everywhere. But we do need a whole friggin’ MONTH for it, as seems to be common these kids? Spare me with your “spooky season” stuff… it’s called October. Halloween is a holiday, not a holimonth! One day is plenty!
Now that my old man / kids get off my lawn rant is over, I’ll concede that this video, which depicts a light show built onto a generic suburban home belonging to someone with waaaaay too much time on their hands, is sick as hell. The sequence is programmed to match up with Avenged Sevenfold’s “Nightmare,” features an impressive array of lights that include classic Halloween motifs (pumpkins, grave stones, etc.) and it’s quite exquisite. Passers-by can even tune their car radio to 98.3 FM to listen to the song while the show plays on a hyper-local broadcast… neat! For the rest of us, YouTube will have to do.
Watch below and lament that the day after Halloween we’ll be bombarded with Christmas propaganda for two months straight, including more light shows like this one but to Santa jingles. I guess in that regard this one’s way preferable. Yay.
