Video: Guns N’ Roses Give New Song “Hard Skool” Its Live Debut (For Real This Time)
Guns N’ Roses have given their new single, “Hard Skool,” its live debut (for real this time) last night (Sunday, September 26) in Baltimore, MD. You can watch fan-filmed video below.
At one time known as “Jackie Chan,” the song was originally written for, but not included on, 2008’s Chinese Democracy. It has since been reworked to better suit Slash and Duff McKagan, who returned to the band in 2016 after 20+ years away.
“Hard Skool” is the second single GN’R have released in as many months, after another discarded Chinese Democracy song, “Absurd” (f.k.a. “Silkworms”).
Guns N’ Roses will release a new four-song EP, Hard Skool, on February 25, 2022. In addition to the newly-released title track, it will include the recent single “Absurd,” and live recordings of the classics “Don’t Cry” and “You’re Crazy.”
You can pre-order the Hard Skool EP here on CD, vinyl, or cassette. Vinyl copies won’t ship ’til June 24, 2022.
