The Slipknot/Maroon 5 Mash-up of Your Nightmares Gets a Sequel
All good horror movies get a sequel. Mash-up maestro William Maranci clearly understands this: following up on last year’s truly terrifying amalgamation of Slipknot’s “Sulfur” and Maroon 5’s “Makes Me Wonder,” he has now released a sequel in the form of “Before I Forget”/”Harder to Breathe” commixture.
As was the case with the “Sulfur”/”Makes Me Wonder” jawn, for “Before I Forget to Breathe,” Maranci has removed Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine’s vocals. I assume he does this in order to obtain a PG-13 rating.

Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor previously expressed his admiration for Levine in a 2018 tweet to a fan:
“Just because you claim to have ‘Moves Like Jagger’ doesn’t mean you come anywhere CLOSE to ROCKING like Jagger. Tell that schmuck to go back to The fucking ‘Voice’”
No word on why Maroon 5 aren’t part of any upcoming Knotfest line-ups.
