All That Remains Cancel Festival Appearances After Positive Covid-19 Case
All That Remains canceled a pair of festival appearances this past weekend — Blue Ridge Rock Festival (September 11) in Danville, VA and the Inkcarceration festival (September 12) in Mansfield, OH — after an unidentified band member tested positive for Covid-19.
In a statement posted to social media on Saturday, frontman Phil Labonte said that all band members were vaccinated and vowed that their planned tour, celebrating the 15th anniversary of The Fall of Ideals, will still take place (the dates haven’t yet been announced).
Labonte’s statement, posted on the band’s social media accounts, reads:
“Hey everyone, Phil here. We are wicked bummed to do this but we are going to have to pull out of Blue Ridge and Inkcarceration. Everyone in ATR is vaccinated but one of our guys tested positive with a breakthrough case of COVID. We take this very seriously and don’t want to risk contributing to the spread. We love you all and we will see you on ‘The Fall Of Ideals’ anniversary celebration tour.”
Chelsea Grin also dropped off Blue Ridge Rock Festival, citing a band member’s possible exposure to the virus. Frontman Tom Barber recently said he wouldn’t perform in any country or state that requires performers to be vaccinated.
On behalf of everyone at MetalSucks, we wish a speedy recovery to the band member in his battle with Covid-19.
