Korn’s Jonathan Davis is “Still Struggling With the COVID After-Effects”
This past Friday, August 27, Korn frontman Jonathan Davis made his return to the stage for the first time since contracting COVID-19 earlier this month.
Following the news of Davis’ illness, six of the band’s concerts were rescheduled to the end of tour while two were canceled outright.
According to a video shared on social media by Korn guitarist Brian “Head” Welch, Davis is “still struggling with the COVID after-effects” — and thus now has a throne on stage so he can sit and rest while performing:
“He’s physically weak and having a mental battle. And any type of love, light and energy you can throw at him—prayers, all of it. We have shows coming up, so all of you guys, check the dates. Whatever show you’re going to, throw him some love and energy, man—he needs you more than ever.”
You can watch Welch’s video, as well as fan-filmed footage of Davis’ return to the stage, below.
