Slipknot Announce Two Knotfest Dates in South America
Slipknot have added to their 2021 Knotfest plans with two dates in South America: Santiago, Chile on December 11, and Sao Paolo, Brazil on December 18.
Both bills will also feature Bring Me The Horizon, Mr. Bungle, Trivium, Sepultura and Vended, while Motionless In White, Armored Dawn and Project 46 will join only in Brazil. A question mark in a prominent billing spot on the Brazil poster indicates one mystery band yet to be announced.
Given persistently high Covid-19 case rates around the world, and especially in Brazil, this strikes me as an odd time to announce a pair of festivals. But what do I know… maybe everything will be just fine by December (it won’t).
Tickets become available on August 19 at 10am local time at http://knotfestbrasil.com and http://knotfeschile.com.
Slipknot have been working on a new album this year and are eyeing late 2021 or early 2022 for a release. They will go on a massive North American tour with Killswitch Engage, Fever 333 and Code Orange starting in September.
