Hooded Menace Drop New Single, “Those Who Absorb the Night”
More people ought to be talking about Hooded Menace, a consistently excellent band who only get better with each album. Why aren’t these guys huge? Riddle me that, internet.
In preparation for the release of their sixth full-length, The Tritonus Bell, the Finnish death/doom outfit have released “Those Who Absorb The Night,” its third and final single. It’s predictably dark, moody and brooding, and I mean that as a compliment, as if their country-mates in Insomnium somehow made their music even more depressing than it already is, and it’s exactly what I need right now.
Guitarist Lasse Pyykkö comments on the new song:
“We’re excited to unleash the video for ‘Those Who Absorb The Night’ off the new album The Tritonus Bell! The rather catchy track has different moods and vibes to it, going from gloomy melancholy to bursts of aggressiveness and back, and I think the atmospheric and spider-webbed visuals support the music quite perfectly.”
The Tritonus Bell comes out on August 27. Watch the video for “Those Who Absorb the Night” below.
