Hey, pals. You want sum music? Here’s 31 seemingly random, yet stellar heavy albums I’ve been a fan of so far this year, only one of which (Hooded Menace) isn’t publicly available yet. There’s just about something for everyone here. Post-metal/atmospheric metal fan? Check out Amenra, BIG|BRAVE, Bossk, and Five The Hierophant. Technical/prog metal your thing? Cryptosis, Epiphanic Truth, Interloper, and Klexos are for you. Thrashers and hardcore pals will find riffs upon riffs in Capra, Demiser, Demoniac, Enforced, Slant, and The Crown. For my money, the heaviest album I’ve heard this year so far is courtesy of Altarage, so if density and abrasion are your thing, start there.
