Too Soon? Vince’s Best Metal Albums of 2021… So Far
My favorite album so far this year is by Carly Pearce. My first real concert post-pandemic will be Ashley McBryde (second: Chris Stapleton… and then, eventually, Gojira). My favorite song at the moment is by Jimmie Allen and Brad Paisley.
That said, here are some metal and metal-adjacent releases I’ve been digging too, in alphabetical order:
’68 – Give One Take One (Cooking Vinyl)
Alluvial – Sarcoma (Nuclear Blast)
Brand of Sacrifice – Lifeblood
Dirty Honey – Dirty Honey (Dirt Records)
Iotunn – Access All Worlds (Metal Blade)
King Woman – Celestial Blues (Relapse)
Todd La Torre – Rejoice in the Suffering (Rat Pak)
Lizzard – Eroded (Pelagic)
Oceana – The Pattern (Time to Kill)
Royal Blood – Typhoons (Warner Brothers)
Tomahawk – Tonic Immobility (Ipecac)
Andrew W.K. – God is Partying (Napalm)
