Bruce Dickinson Gives a TED Talk, Hints at 2022 Iron Maiden Tour
We’re 99.9% certain that Iron Maiden are gonna release a new song called “Belshazzar’s Feast” tomorrow, and we’re 99.8% certain that song will herald a new Maiden album called Writing On the Wall. Assuming this is the case (it is), it’s only natural that Iron Maiden would soon be touring in support of their latest release.
Which Maiden vocalist Bruce Dickinson confirms they will be doing in a new video promoting his upcoming spoken word tour of the U.K.
In the video (first clip below), Dickinson — once again wearing his “Bleshazzar’s Feast” t-shirt — says a bunch of boring stuff nobody cares about, but then also says this totally relevant thing:
“[N]ext year, I will be onstage with all my mates… and with you as well, a few more of you.”
So either he’s saying Maiden will play live again in 2022 or I dunno what he’s saying. Pretty sure that is what he’s saying.
Of course, that’s assuming the band can get out of Britain.
In related news, Dickinson also recently gave a TED Talk, which is described as “an inspiring and motivating speech on how you can be creative in the modern business world.” You can watch the below the other video I was just talking about. Dickinson follows fellow metal TED talkers Blöthar from GWAR and the dude from Nat’s What I Reckon. I think his name is Nat.
ANYWAY… holy shit, there’s gonna be a new Iron Maiden song tomorrow! It’s just now hitting me. It’s exciting. I’m excited. Are you excited? I’m excited.
