Foo Fighters Launch Bee Gees Cover Band, the Dee Gees, Debut “You Should Be Dancing”
The Foo Fighters are exposing their chest hair and whipping out their gold spoon necklaces (actual press copy) as the Dee Gees, a full-fledged Bee Gees cover band. Their first album under the moniker, Hail Satin, will arrive next week, and its debut single is here today… so get dancin’!
Side A of Hail Satin features Grohl, Hawkins, Mendel, Smear, Shiflett and Jaffee lighting up the floor at Foo Fighters’ 606 studios with faithful renditions of five stone cold Brothers Gibb classics — Bee Gees bangers “You Should Be Dancing,” Night Fever,” “Tragedy” and “More Than A Woman” + Andy Gibb’s “Shadow Dancing” — while side B rocks the party with live at 606 renditions of roughly half of Foo Fighters pandemic panacea album, Medicine at Midnight.
It’s “You Should Be Dancing” that gets the nod as first single. Give it a spin below along with a live performance music video! And do what they say… dance!
Hail Satin arrives on July 17.
