Five Finger Death Punch Recording Terrible New Music, Re-Recording Terrible Old Music
Five Finger Death Punch have entered the Hideout Recording Studio in Las Vegas (I think) to commence recording their next sure-to-be-unbearbly-awful-but-commercially-successful album.
Bassist Davy Jones revealed the news on social media:
“One of the hardest working bands in the business working hard on album Number 9. Are y’all ready?”
A day after telling everyone how hard working FFDP are, however, the bassist shared photos of himself scuba diving in Hawaii. So they might not be in the studio? It’s a six-hour-plus flight from Vegas to Hawaii… is it possible Kael just went to Hawaii for the weekend?
Whatever the case may be, the new album is being produced by Kevin Churko, who has worked on all of the band’s albums since 2009’s War is Answer. He’s also worked with creative behemoths like Disturbed and Hinder, and produced all the best Ozzy records, like Black Rain and Scream.
The upcoming album will Fiver Finger Death Punch’s ninth… but in May, they also announced that they’ll be re-recording their 2007 debut, The Foot Fist Way. I guess they feel like they have new, innovative ways to make that shit even shittier.
Both releases will probably be out next year, which leaves me ample time to get run over by a bus before I have to hear them.
