Amazon Launches ‘Vinyl of the Month Club’ Subscription Service for Classic Rock and More

Are you, or someone close to you, just getting into vinyl? Do you want to beef up your collection with new, pristine copies of the classics without having to go to record shops, flip through packed bins or even decide what to order online?

Then Amazon’s new Vinyl of the Month Club is for you! “Get an essential album, every month,” the sales copy advertises, promising that all subscribers will “receive one must-own record from the Golden Era of Vinyl (1960s-1970s) each month, handpicked by the experts at Amazon Music.” The club’s home page calls out Miles Davis, Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, Aretha Franklin, Abba and Pink Floyd if that gives you any idea of what kinds of albums you can expect. What’s more, you can get an advance peek at what’s coming each month and elect to skip that shipment if for some reason you really don’t want it.
