Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross Produced the New Halsey Album
At this point in time, when Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross do Pixar movies are close to EGOT status and Halsey gets a massive tattoo of Marilyn Manson on her torso (which I’m sure she doesn’t regret at all now) and collaborates with Bring Me the Horizon, it probably shouldn’t surprise anyone that the pop chanteuse recruited the NIN duo to produce her new album, If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power.
But. Still. If you’d asked me when I woke up this morning “Whose new album did Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross produce?”, it would not have occurred to me that Halsey was the answer.
And yet:
The PRP notes that Uproxx notes that earlier this month, Halsey shared a photo of herself on Instagram in which she held a NIN shirt of her pregnant belly, which may or may not have been a hint that she was working with Reznor and Ross. You can peep that below.
I shan’t lie: I’m curious to hear this, and likely would have given zero shits about the new Halsey album if Reznor and Ross weren’t involved. This was likely a smart move on Halsey’s part from a creative point of view and a market point of view.
