James LaBrie (Dream Theater) and Steve Stevens (Billy Idol) Team Up on Pink Floyd “Have a Cigar” Cover

The connection between Pink Floyd and metal is strong and storied, the list of covers of the iconic British rock band’s songs by musicians who ordinary traffic in much heavier material growing longer by the year.

Add another to the list: a cover of “Have a Cigar” by Dream Theater vocalist James LaBrie, Billy Idol (and ex-Vince Neil!) guitarist Steve Stevens, The Damned drummer Rat Scabies, Public Image Ltd. bassist Jah Wobble and The Moody Blues keyboardist Patrick Moraz. That’s quite a varied group. A love of Floyd is always the great musical uniter!
