Code Orange Announce One-Off Live Show (With Audience!) in September
Code Orange’s latest album, Underneath, came out on March 13, 2020. I’m sure I don’t need to remind you of the significance of that date… but it was essentially the very day the world shut down. The band were set to host a record release show the following night in their native Pittsburgh, but pivoted it into an impromptu livestream.
That livestream will go down in the history books: while the world was dazed, confused, shaken, distraught, Code Orange provided some sense of normalcy and release, even if it was through our computer screens. It was a truly legendary performance.
A year and a half and a few additional livestreams later, Code Orange are back for take two: same venue, same performance, it’s ON! Dubbed “Return of the Kings,” the show will take place on September 24 at the Roxian Theatre just outside of Pittsburgh. It’ll be the band’s first live show in over a year and a half, and likely yours too. Tickets to the previous performance will be honored, with a few extras made available. Every Time I Die, who were on the original 2020 bill, will sadly not be able to join this time.
Code Orange commented of the effort:
