Gojira’s New Song Takes Listeners “Into the Storm”
Go-go-Gojira!
The revered French quartet have released “Into the Storm,” the fourth single from their forthcoming album, Fortitude (after “Another World,” “Born for One Thing” and “Amazonia”). It is also, in my opinion, the best of the four. The galloping main riff makes me wanna go steal a car and then get caught when I’m pulled over for speeding, and the chorus is just, like, epicly EPIC. I’m totally feeling this.
Says Gojira frontman Joe Duplantier of the track:
“This song is infused with the concept of civil disobedience. Acting accordingly with our deepest wisdom and standing for what is precious and good in this world. The only possible revolution is the one that blossoms from within us. Change will come from individuals. Laws are meant to be bent and shaped to our vital needs. LAWS WILL FOLLOW!”
Grand theft auto isn’t civil disobedience, obviously, but… I mean they got the vibe at least 50% perfect.
