Amorphis Guitarist’s Silver Lake Solo Project Streams New Track, “Storm”
Amorphis guitarist Esa Holopainen’s new solo project, Silver Lake, has unveiled its first single, “Storm.”
“Storm” features Nordman vocalist Håkan Hemlin, who is one of many guests to help Holopainen realize his vision on the forthcoming Silver Lake album. Those also include the vocalists from Katatonia, Leprous and Soilwork, along with Anneke Van Giersbergen and, of course, Amorphis singer Tomi Joutsen.
Holopainen previously explained of the new project:
“As some of you might have noticed, I’ve been working on my first solo album. Well actually, I’d rather call this a project which I’m leading as it includes different musicians and vocalists that I’ve had the great privilege to meet during these years. I’ve had this idea in the back of my head for years and now that Covid-19 hit hard on all of us, it was time to be creative and start this project.
You can listen to “Storm” below. Silver Lake comes out on May 28
