Racist Ted Nugent Says He’s Not Racist

Ted Nugent recently lost a sponsor of some hunting show he hosts because he’s been accused of being racist.

He’s been accused of being racist based on the fact that he has, over the years, said and done many, many racist things.

These include:

i) Giving an interview where he says Blacks aren’t hard workers and uses the n-word a whole bunch of times.

ii) Writing an editorial for The Washington Post in which he asserted that “it would have been best had the South won the Civil War.”

iii) Defending South African apartheid: “Besides, apartheid isn’t that cut-and-dry. All men are not created equal.”

iv) Advising American soldiers in Iraq to “just aim for the laundry” (i.e., turbans — and FYI, most Iraqis don’t wear turbans).

v) Claiming Jews are responsible for all gun control legislation and that they “hate freedom, they hate good over evil, they would deny us the basic human right[s].”

v) Constantly wearing Confederate flag shirts.

Despite this, Nugent took to Facebook over the weekend to stream a video in which he declared that he is not racist:

“Everybody who pays attention — not the ones who call me a racist, but the people who are actually honest and pay attention know that I have paid homage and reverence to the black heroes of music all my life, which means I’m the anti-racist. So if you find somebody who calls Ted Nugent a racist, you are looking at a subhuman piece of shit who lives a lie.”

So I guess I’m a subhuman piece of shit who lives a lie. I guess just add that to the list of ways in which I’m proudly not like Ted Nugent: I’m literate, I can wipe my own ass, and I’ve never purchased a daughter-bride. It’s like how do I even sleep at night???
