Seething Internet Edgelord Says Iced Earth’s “Jon Schaffer Did Nothing Wrong” in New Video

A conservative metal edgelord calling himself “The Rageaholic” has published a six-minute video defending the actions of Iced Earth mainman Jon Schaffer, who on January 6 was among those who stormed the U.S. Capitol and now sits in jail on six federal charges.

In the seething rant, the YouTuber, wearing sunglasses (indoors) and gloves (still indoors), argues that Schaffer’s actions were not violent, while implying a liberal media conspiracy coalesced to bring the Capitol intruders down while allowing Black Lives Matter “riots” to take place unchecked last summer. Referring to those horrified by Schaffer’s (and other Capitol rioters’) actions as “cucks” multiple times through the video, the host calls out Schaffer’s former band members for their “cowardice” in selling him out based on “false reports” by the metal media, with special words reserved for ex-Iced Earth frontman Stu Bloch (“you hipster, bearded, skull cap cuck-wagon”) and Hansi Kürsch (Schaffer’s ex-bandmate in Demons & Wizards), calling the latter a “faggy-eyed Bavarian bolshevik” before making fun of his German heritage.

The Rageaholic also straight-up ripped off news footage from our pal Brian Storm of Rock Feed right around the 1:00 mark, although the channel likely has bigger problems than a copyright strike under YouTube’s hate speech policies.

The same YouTuber once posted a different video defending convicted child pornography collector and noted white supremacist Jason Weirbach of Inquisition.
