Today: Moonspell Take Over the MetalSucks Instagram Account!
Without touring in the picture, it’s been quite a while since the MetalSucks Instagram account has hosted a band takeover… but today Moonspell are doing something fun, so they’ll have full run of our IG page all day long!
Tomorrow, February 26, marks the release of Moonspell’s new album, Hermitage, so that alone is cause for celebration (order here). But today, Thursday, the band will be filming a performance at a TV show in Portugal, so they’ll be sharing behind-the-scenes clips on the MetalSucks Instagram page all day long. In a time when every day is the same, that should offer Moonspell fans a very welcome distraction from the hum-drum pandemic lifestyle.
In an introductory message posted just moments ago, frontman Fernando Ribeiro offered:
“Hi. I am Fernando from the Portuguese Metal band @moonspellofficial and I will be your host for today. This picture has been taken at 7.30 GMT time, fresh from not enough sleep. “My life was a one-to-a-million shot” said #rockybalboa and #moonspell can definitely relate. One day to go before we release our new album #hermitage via @napalmrecordsofficial and I bid you welcome to a busy day where I will eat, drink, play live in the biggest talk show in Portugal @5meianoite, virtual M&G with the fans and whatnot. All during Portugal’s lockdown. What a wonderful world ???? thanks to @metalsucks for putting up with my midlife crisis. Post soon!”
