Bassist Sean Kennedy (Deez Nuts, Ex-I Killed the Prom Queen) Dead at Age 35
Australian bassist Sean Kennedy (Deez Nuts, ex-I Killed the Prom Queen) has passed away, Lamgoat reports. He was 35-years-old.
Kennedy died on Tuesday, February 23. The cause of death has not been made public at this time.
Kennedy played for I Killed the Prom Queen from 2003 to 2013. He appears on the band’s first two full-length albums, When Goodbye Means Forever… (2003) and Music for the Recently Deceased (2006), as well as their 2005 EP, Your Past Comes Back to Haunt You.
Kennedy joined Deez Nuts in 2008, left a year later, and returned in 2014.
Michael Crafter (Confession), the former frontman for I Killed the Prom Queen who appears on both When Goodbye Means Forever… and Your Past Comes Back to Haunt You, says of Kennedy’s passing:
“For years we stood side by side on stage or in band photos. We slept on floors, in vans, planes and some how managed to tour the world. Time went way t0o fast. We experienced highs and lows on the road and after all we went through, you will always be my friend. As the years passed us by I’m glad we’ve always been there for each other. When I called you last week I didn’t think it would be the last. I wish I could say goodbye. Love and will always miss you mate. Rest In Peace.”
MetalSucks wishes its deepest condolences to Kennedy’s loved ones.
