Listen to a Synthwave Cover of AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck”
For the third day in a row, I am writing about a cover of AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck.” I did not intend for things to work out this way, they just did. I promise I wouldn’t be sharing them all if I didn’t find all interesting in different ways. Still, it does make me wonder if people are aware that AC/DC have other songs.
ANYWAY, following a Buddhist monk’s take on the track and a cover created with acoustic guitars and regular household items, we now have this synthwave version from Italy’s Melodicka Bros (who previously brought us such entertainments as this upbeat cover of System of a Down’s “Chop Suey!” and this country music version of Pantera’s “Walk”). I don’t know if I “like” it — it sounds like it should be in the trailer for a Sony Screen Gems action/horror hybrid I’ll never see — but I certainly appreciate how it demonstrates the malleability of a great hook.
Enjoy:
