Rob Zombie Was a Question on Jeopardy! Last Night

Well, somebody at Jeopardy! sure does like House of 1,000 Corpses.

The Rob Zombie-directed horror movie was featured, for the second time, on an episode of Jeopardy! on January 12… which also, probably-not-coincidentally, was Zombie’s 56th birthday.

The movie first it made onto the long-running trivia show in 2018, when a contestant was required to its title.

This time out, the question was part of a category called Insane Clown Posse, which was about clowns from horror movies, not rapping clowns from our horrific reality. Naturally, the question pertained to Captain Spaulding, the homicidal clown played by the late Sid Haig in House of 1,000 Corpses and its two The Devil’s Rejects and 3 from Hell (although he’s only in that last one for about ten seconds).

You can watch the clip from Jeopardy!, as shared by Zombie himself, below.

Whoever the Corpses fan is at Jeopardy! may or may not be responsible for the number of metal-related questions on the show in recent years, including trivia about Slayer, Tool, Corey Taylor, Mötley Crüe, Morbid Angel and Obituary, Five Finger Death Punch, and Lizzy Borden.

Rob Zombie’s new album, The Lunar Injection Kool Aid Eclipse Conspiracy, comes out March 12. Listen to the first single, “The Triumph of King Freak (A Crypt of Preservation and Superstition),” here.
