Chevelle Unveil New Single, “Self Destructor”
Chevelle haven’t ever blown minds with their tried-and-true brand of radio hard rock, but they’ve certainly had a few solid jams over the years. That one about suffocating, the other one about seeing red… I’m sure there are a couple more I’m forgetting, although admittedly I haven’t paid close attention since their debut album.
The band’s latest single, “Self Destructor,” arrived this morning along with an official music video. And, well, it sounds like Chevelle! I can’t say if it’s any stronger or weaker than their recent material, but Chevelle are surely consistent, I’ll give them that, and I’ll take Chevelle over a number of their considerably more bland contemporaries any day of the week. Those of you more up to date on this band than I should feel free to offer their opinions in the comments section (as if conversation there is ever productive).
Also, for what it’s worth, how badass is that album cover?
The band’s next album, NIRATIAS, arrives March 5 via Epic Records (pre-order) and was produced by Joe Barresi.
