Dream Theater Share Live Video of “The Spirit Carries On” from 20th Anniversary Scenes From a Memory Tour

Dream Theater’s new live set, Distant Memories – Live In London, is already out (order here), but the band continue their push to lure fans in with a newly released clip from the set, “The Spirit Carries On.” They sure know how to tug at our heartstrings, eh? One banger in the form of “Fatal Tragedy,” which they unveiled in early November, and then this power ballad classic.

Recorded in February of this year, the set was part of the tour that saw the band celebrate the 20th anniversary of Scenes From a Memory by performing it in full every night. I caught the tour in New York last year and it was friggin’ glorious, 20 years of pent up energy and enthusiasm for that album released in one shot.
