Stream Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross’ Score for David Fincher’s Mank

0

Mank, the latest film from Oscar nominated director David Fincher (Se7en, Fight Club, The Social Network), debuted yesterday on Netflix to overwhelmingly positive reviews. Written by Fincher’s father, Jack, Mank tells the true story of screenwriter Herman J. Mankiewicz and his time writing the classic Citizen Kane. Gary Oldman plays the writer.

As has been the case with all of Fincher’s films for the past decade, Mank features a score by Nine Inch Nails mastermind Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. That score is now available for your streaming pleasure below.

In September, Reznor and Ross won an Emmy in the category of Outstanding Music Composition For A Limited Series, Movie Or Special (Original Dramatic Score), for their score to “It’s Summer and We’re Running Out of Ice,” the premiere episode of HBO’s Damon Lindelof’s Alan Moore’s Watchmen.

This means the duo now have an Emmy, a Grammy (for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo), and an Oscar (for The Social Network). If they can figure out a way to get involved with a Broadway musical and win a Tony, they will be in the rarified strata of EGOT — people who have won all four major awards. As of this writing, only sixteen people have ever accomplished this feat, including Mel Brooks, Whoopi Goldberg, Andrew Lloyd Weber, and John Legend.

Meanwhile, Nine Inch Nails was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last month. You can watch Reznor’s induction speech here.
