Between the Buried and Me are in the Studio
The pandemic has been shitty for most things, but at least it’s forced a bunch of bands back into the studio, many earlier than they’d planned. Rammstein, Whitechapel, Mastodon, At the Gates, Bodom After Midnight, Bleeding Through… these are but a sampling of high-profile metal bands to enter the studio just in the past couple of months.
Now you can add Between the Buried and Me to that list. The band posted a requisite photo of a mic’ed up drum kit yesterday (November 16) and added the caption, “New BTBAM full length album coming in 2021!!” in case there was any doubt. The band added, in hashtag form, that they’ve been busy writing all year (despite acting like they haven’t been), and they didn’t say, but we can assume, they’re once again working with producer Jamie King (it’d be all sorts of scandalous if they weren’t).
2021 is going to be a helluva year for new metal. Hopefully that’ll coincide with touring, too, fingers crossed.
Between the Buried and Me also have a re-release of their landmark album Colors scheduled for December 11.
